Day 19: Science

S asked for more stuff to fulfill her (and others’) inner science nerd!! Since I’m a secret science nerd too– despite my social science career– I am more than happy to oblige.

In Autumn 2013, the Lupus Foundation of America announced an open access peer review journal devoted to Lupus research, (ironically) in conjunction with the British Medical Journal.

It’s a highly respected journal, available to read free of charge, called Lupus Science & Medicine. (Please ignore the ‘Error’ message in the link– the link works.)

That’s all for today folks– after such a big day yesterday, my pain levels are super high, so I’m just resting. Can’t wait to see the rheumatologist on Monday! 😉

Just have to say, we need more science nerds in the world today. We need to make kids excited about science, and adults less fearful of it. Science is amazing, and so much important science information is ignored today in favour of ignorance, distrust, and even hate.
