I’m an American living in the Oxford area in the UK. I am passionate about food and experimenting in the kitchen, digging in the earth, and enjoying nature. I am an anthropologist who conducts research with religious Jewish communities around the world. I also have a list of chronic illnesses as long as my arm, including Lupus (SLE). On the afternoon of Friday the 13th of March, 2020, I entered my home with the plan to stay, and since 9pm on the 14th I have been entirely self-isolating. This are my thoughts, experiences, hopes, fears, and struggles. The world is scary, and changing, and full of the unknown, but there is still hope, beauty, and love.
